Leonardo DiCaprio has finally won the golden statue for his stellar performance in The Revenant! After years of being nominated in the Best Actor category, the 41-year-old actor is finally an Academy Award winner. There has been plenty of Oscar buzz surrounding the film and his performance, and everyone has been hoping that 2016 would be Leonardo’s year. Sure enough, he won in his category and was met with thunderous applause and a much deserved standing ovation.
But before all that, Leo stepped out on the red carpet looking every bit the dapper gentleman that he is. He wore a classic tuxedo from Armani, which he styled with a crisp white shirt and a bow tie. His hair was slicked back, and he finished off his look with a pair of black patent leather lace-up dress shoes from Christian Louboutin’s spring 2016 collection.

He reunited with his longtime pal and fellow Oscar winner Kate Winslet, which made for a historic Hollywood moment. The two friends giggled and chatted with each other as they sauntered down the red carpet to pose for photographs.

Kate wore a black custom gown from Ralph Lauren, which hugged her curves perfectly and featured a strapless neckline and a sweeping train. She styled it with soft waves cascading down her shoulders, rosy nude lips, diamond chandelier earrings from Nirav Modi, and heels from Christian Louboutin.
